Hiking with kids Hannacroix Creek Preserve
From the main parking like you will start with a fairly steep hill but after this it’s a much easier hike mostly on a gravel path. It’s about 1.5 miles round trip. The trail offers smaller paths to the creek where you can stop and explore. Then continue until you see the old paper mill. There’s a steep path down to the creek. If you continue straight on the path above through large rocks you will get to the top of the falls.
Hannacroix Water Fall
The water in front of the falls is deep and due to currents, I strongly recommend life jackets for kids if you plan to swim. Sign’s at the entrance say no swimming along with some other rules. However, it seems to be common and the area on their website is even called a swimming hole, so I believe it’s more for liability purposes.
Tips for Hanacroix Creek Preserve Hiking with Kids
