We visited the kid’s high course with our son (age 7.5) and daughter (age 6). They each went with a friend and went up on the kids course without us adults. My son’s friend had done high ropes course and was very confident. This helped my son who is usually pretty apprehensive be more confident too.
My daughter has always been very confident and always wanting to help so she did well and was willing to help others get up the beginning which can be tricky with getting the ring for the rope up. Her friend did very well too even though it was her first time and she took her time to go through the course but said she would definitely do it again.
You now your Kids Best
Most kids did it a second time which is allowed and the total time including the brief training was under an hour. While the age min is 5, I recommend taking it to account your Child’s personality as there was one young child who was terrified about 1/4 of the way through and they had to put up a ladder to get her to come down. It happens and staff seemed training in dealing with the situation. I have heard other parents say they both went up and had the child between the 2 adults and that worked well.
My kids would definitely go again. And we look forward to them opening after Covid so we can enjoy the experience again.
Tips for visiting Wild Play High Ropes Course
- If you aren’t sure how your kids will do have a parent or 2 go with them one in the front and one in the back
- It may also be helpful for the kids to go with friends who have been before or are more adventurous.
- Parents can follow from underneath and assist the kids verbally as needed.
- There are some spots where it’s easier for the kids to hold the rope that their harness links to than the rope meant for their hands as its higher. There’s also spots that its easer to put ur feet in the unintended spot. The staff there will give you tips if you or your child gets to a point where you aren’t sure what to do.
