Meet the Grinch
The easiest way to enjoy the Holiday’s at Universal is by booking Universal’s Holiday Tour. You will have to decide if it’s worth the price as it’s an add on to your tickets and park to park or annual passes are required for around $80 a person here’s what you will get*:
*inclusions subject to change
Universal’s Holiday Tour

What to save $80 and Enjoy the Holiday’s independently? Holidays at Universal Studios Grinchmas Touring Plans can provide the perfect itinerary. Start by deciding if you would like to add Breakfast with the Grinch. I actually do not recommend this. If you are going to spend the money the Holidays Tour will provide much better food, then the breakfast. and while more expensive you will also get some other nice perks. Who-ville friends are available throughout the park so the only benefit of the breakfast is a guaranteed meet with the Grinch, but you may have to wait a while as the process is not as organized as Disney. You will also meet the Grinch sitting at your table vs standing at the meet and greet.
Breakfast with the Grinch

Free Ticketed Meet the Grinch
If you do not choose to purchase the Holidays Tours or the Breakfast with the Grinch but want to meet the Grinch, you will need to make it a priority and be ready in the app to snag a virtual pass. Last year the times varied and there were 2 drop times each day. They started as early as 8:15am and the latest I heard was 9:30am. You must be on-site and on Universal wifi to access a reservation. I recommend you put your phone in airplane mode, so you do not have your cellular data interfering and the app thinking you are not onsite. I recommend starting at 8am and keep trying until 9:45am. Again, if it’s a priority have a backup plan (additional days to try) or purchase one of the above options.
Once you snagged a reservation make sure to note the time in your reservation. We were given only a 10-minute window. We arrived a little early and was let into a line where we waited.
Grinchmas
Your heart might grow three sizes as you delight in the hilarious hijinks of this live retelling of the classic tale starring the Grinch™, featuring music recorded by Mannheim Steamroller. Shows usually start running around 10 or 11am. The crowd levels can vary by day and even by time of day so it’s hard to tell.
Food is allowed during the show so if you have a jam
Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s
Catch larger-than-life balloons floating through the streets of Universal Studios Florida, along with appearances by the Minions from Illumination’s Despicable Me and some of your favorite characters from DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Madagascar films.
Mannheim Steamroller
Celebrate the season with the sensational scores of the best-selling holiday artist of all time. Live performances on the Music Plaza Stage usually at park closing around 7pm. If you are planning to attend this show, I recommend after the Macy’s parade head over to the park and reserve a spot for your family. Then send one person to pick up dinner so you can sit relax and enjoy dinner before the show. If you do not care to see the stage, you don’t have to worry about arriving early there is plenty of space to stand and hear the show as well as view the screens.
There’s a slight change you could head to Island of Adventure to see the Castle Light Up before heading back for the Concert, but I am not sure it would be worth it. I would choose the concern over the light show. If you are visiting when there is not a concert, then after the Macy’s Parade you can head over to Island of adventure to watch the Castle Light show.
Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™
Join the celebration as Hogwarts™ castle lights up for the holidays and festive decor brightens up the streets of Hogsmeade™ in Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley™ in Universal Studios Florida. Enjoy a hot Butterbeer™ while both the Frog Choir and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees put a holiday spin on their performances.
