Baltimore Port Discovery Children's Museum

Baltimore Port Discovery Children’s Museum is a wonderful Children’s museum with so much to do. You could spend a full day here or at least until your children are exhausted. Port Discovery is an easy walk from the Baltimore Harbor.

Climbing and Sports at Port Discovery

There’s a multistory climber in the center of the museum that kids will enjoy climbing up and down. This is a great place to start your day as they will still have the energy to make it through the climber. There are also other sports activities such as an electronic soccer field where kids can have more fun with sports.

Water Play

There’s a whole room for water play. They even provide crocs and smocks to help keep kids dry. I would say come prepared with a change of clothes and your own crocs and let the kids have a blast with water play.

Pretend Play at Port Discovery

The best part about the children’s museum is pretended play. There are so many fun things that you couldn’t possibly have at home. Rooms such as a grocery store, a dinner, and even a gas station. My kids could spend an hour in each of these areas, I only wish they were as enthusiastic when we actually go grocery shopping.

Making Music at Port Discovery

There’s a music area where kids can have fun with a variety of percussion instruments.

Arts and Crafts

Enjoy rotating art and craft activities. If you plan to visit on different occasions this is a nice activity that changes so it will add some variety.

Special Exhibits at Port Discovery

There are also special exhibits at Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore. When we visited there was a Thomas The Train exhibit. The kids enjoyed dressing up like conductors and playing with the variety of displays.
