Rakuten which used to be called ebates, is a shopping portal that gives you cashback when buying everyday items through the stores you normally shop online. You simply go to Rakuten.com, log on search the store/company you want to shop and it takes you to their website but tracks your purchases to provide you with cashback. What’s great about Rakuten you still can use discount codes you would normally use on the store/company web-page and still earn rewards points you would normally earn for stays. You can even select same-day store pick up if available for items you need immediately.
You can even earn cashback on your travel! I earned $47 cashback when I booked my stay at Holiday Inn Montego Bay and recently earned $143 cashback on our stay at Hong Kong Disneyland booking through Expedia. Some examples of travel companies you can earn cashback for include: Expedia 10% on hotels, Hotels.com 4%, Holiday Inn 4%, Marriott 2%, and Viator (tour broker) 4%.
If you haven’t joined Rakuten, yet you can here and will earn $10 cashback after your first purchase using Rakuten.
I highly recommend also checking out RetailmeNot before any on-line purchase to see if a discount code is available which you can often use in combination with the Rakuten cashback portal.
